Statement
Following three years of dedicated efforts by a group of Azerbaijanis living in different parts of the world—working for national rights, national culture, and national freedom—the Azerbaijan National Front (AMC) was founded in Sweden on 21 March 2003.
Purpose and Functions of the Azerbaijan National Front
The Azerbaijan National Front is not intended to unite political parties, organizations, or institutions under a single structure in the traditional sense of a political front. Rather, its mission is fundamentally different.
The Front was established to bring together parties, organizations, and communities with diverse views around a shared objective—the Azerbaijani issue—and to coordinate their activities in a more organized and effective manner toward a common goal. In this respect, the Azerbaijan National Front may also be described as an ideological front.
The Azerbaijan National Front (AMC) seeks to unite all Azerbaijani forces, regardless of their differences, in the common and legitimate struggle to determine the fate and future of the people of South Azerbaijan, based on universal human rights. The Front is committed to leading this collective effort until its ultimate objective is achieved.
