Dear Azerbaijanis!
In order to keep the situation in the country under control, the central government of Tehran has been playing an unnatural balancing game between the “reformers” and “rulers” it created on the political scene for decades.
In reality, this project (game) of theirs is nothing more than covering up the crisis social situation and at the same time the political, economic and national tension in the country.
The main reason for all these tensions in the country is the current theocratic government’s system of governance, as well as the fulfillment of the political, economic and cultural aspirations of the people in the country. That is why we have once again witnessed popular protests in various regions of the country in recent days. The current situation is a continuation and repetition of the events that took place in various cities of Azerbaijan in the solar year 1388. All this indicates the existence of a deep political crisis between the central government and the people in the country.
To put an end to this crisis, it is very important to change the existing system. Based on historical experiences, Azerbaijan can, as always, seriously express its national political aspirations today and advance its strategic policy in fulfilling the basic aspirations of the people in the country. Missing such a historical opportunity will lead to big mistakes.
Azerbaijani politicians, national-political organizations and national activists should correctly assess the current sensitive situation and prevent the abuse of pan-Iranian currents in the country. Therefore, Azerbaijani national-political organizations and national activists should understand their historical and national-political duties and act together to move the people’s movement forward in the right direction. For this, in addition to expressing today’s economic demands by the people, it is necessary to bring their basic national-political aspirations to the right political stage.
In order to move the political situation forward in the right direction and at the same time, for our people to achieve their basic political, economic, national and social rights, it is extremely important to promote the principle of “self-determination”, which is one of the basic norms of international law, as the main slogan of our people and other peoples in the country!
