Dear citizens,
As you know, Armenia has been occupying the historical lands of Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 surrounding regions, for nearly 30 years, and more than 1 million people have been displaced from their lands. Although 4 UN resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884) were unanimously approved in 1993 to immediately vacate 20% of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the Armenian regime ignored them and even threatened to seize new territories from Azerbaijan. On July 12, 2020, Armenian military forces opened continuous artillery fire on the villages of the strategically important Tovuz region, resulting in the deaths of 12 servicemen and 1 civilian. Not long after, on September 27, Azerbaijan woke up to the sounds of gunfire along the front line in the early morning. This was a new military provocation by the Armenian Armed Forces. For the 5th day now, Armenian military units have been attacking from 4 directions with heavy weapons, once again showing their aggressive, usurping faces to the world. The Azerbaijani Army has conducted a counterattack and has given a worthy response to the enemy, taking back several of our villages and strategic heights. As a result of the military clashes, there are losses both in the Azerbaijani army and among the civilian population. May God have mercy on all the sons of the homeland who have passed away! Long live the homeland! Fierce battles are currently underway to liberate our Karabakh. We wish the glorious Azerbaijani army to liberate our Karabakh and all the occupied homeland lands in a short time with little loss and to be victorious!
As the Azerbaijani National Front, we have an appeal to our compatriots, the Iranian state, and the world community:
The Azerbaijani National Front supports the counterattack of the Republic of Azerbaijan against Armenia’s military aggression, its position to liberate Karabakh on the battlefield, not through resolutions that have been on the table for 30 years and have lost their effectiveness.
We condemn the Iranian government’s provision of weapons, ammunition, fuel, and food to Armenia, or the transportation of such goods sent by Russia through the country’s territory, as well as the crossing of terrorist militants brought to Iran from various countries to Armenia, and we demand that these actions not be repeated again.
We call on our compatriots in South Azerbaijan to protest on their own initiative in order to condemn this hypocritical policy of the Iranian state that does not respect humanity and Islam.
Let international organizations and heads of state of foreign countries support Azerbaijan in its just cause – in restoring its territory after many years, in liberating its ancestral land of Karabakh from Armenian terrorists, in returning more than 1 million refugees and displaced persons to their lands.
We wish only victory to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces! In the meantime, we are fully with the Azerbaijani state!
